Job summary

Holiday Inn Dulles is seeking a guest-focused team member to serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner, adhering to health regulations and local liquor laws. The role includes setting up, maintaining, and taking down banquet rooms after service and events.

You will work with banquet captains and event planners to ensure exceptional guest service, tidy banquet areas, and compliant operations while helping control costs and waste.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• TIPS or CARE beverage service certification desired or ability to obtain certification.
• Minimum of 1 year prior guest service experience.
• Exemplary customer service, attention to detail, and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read, understand, and write English.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Banquet serving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guest Service: provide high-quality service to guests and collaborate with other departments as needed.
• Serving Duties: set up, maintain, and take down banquet rooms after service or events; bus trays and maintain a neat banquet area.
• Help control expenses by using banquet collateral and equipment efficiently.
• Work Safely: maintain a clean, safe work area following regulations and hotel procedures.
• Self/Workload Management: plan and prioritize tasks; adhere to attendance and appearance standards.
• Collaborate with others to meet guest needs and complete duties beyond the usual scope.
• Complete all required side work and proactively assist where needed.
