Job summary

Wildhorse Resort Casino in Pendleton, OR is seeking an experienced Banquet Manager to lead all banquet operations, staff, and event coordination with kitchen, bar, and sales teams. You will ensure event planning, setup, and execution meet guest expectations and drive repeat business.

Qualifications

• Requires five (5) years of banquet management experience, preferably in a venue with multiple events being coordinated consecutively.
• Supervisory experience in the hospitality field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• High School Diploma or GED or ten years’ experience.
• Budget experience with labor costs, ordering supplies, equipment, and inventory.
• Requires strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and abilities.
• Creativity to develop an esthetic feel for each event, including physically setting up rooms, decorations, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal, guest service, leadership, communication, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are required.
• Demonstrates computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Need to stand and/or walk for long periods; able to perform repetitive motions with arms, elbows, wrists, hands, and fingers; able to bend, lift and maneuver 50 lbs.; and good visual and auditory acuity.
• Possess or obtain a Food Handler Certification and an OLCC card within 30 days of employment, with permit application submitted by first day of employment.
• Requires flexible schedule and ability to work varied hours, days, and shifts.
• Requires a High-Security Gaming license clearance.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Manages all banquet operations, including staffing, coordinating with kitchen, bar, custodial, and marketing to ensure events meet guests’ expectations.
• Directs staff, schedules, trains, and evaluates performance; supports career development.
• Coordinates with Sales to understand banquet event orders and ensure proper staffing and execution.
• Inspects function rooms for setup, menu, and event adherence to the function sheet.
• Maintains banquet department records, budgets, and expense controls.
• Communicates professionally with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth events.
• Oversees safety and compliance with policies, procedures, and health codes.
• Trains staff on food safety and equipment handling.
