Pennymac is a specialty financial services firm focused on mortgage production and servicing. We are seeking a Bankruptcy Specialist II to manage complex bankruptcy cases, prepare essential documents, and collaborate with attorneys and vendors across the loan lifecycle.

You will mentor junior staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to process improvements within a dynamic, mission‑driven team. This role is office‑based with growth opportunities in the bankruptcy group.

Qualificações

• A high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
• A minimum of one year of experience as a Bankruptcy Specialist or two years in a related field
• In‑depth knowledge of federal, state, and investor requirements related to bankruptcy
• Proven ability to manage complex bankruptcy cases and resolve escalated issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong leadership skills and a willingness to mentor junior staff

Responsabilidades

• Bankruptcy Case Management: review loan documentation, track deadlines, monitor payments and ensure compliance with policies and investor rules
• Document Preparation: oversee the preparation and execution of essential legal documents
• Stakeholder Communication: coordinate with attorneys, vendors and service providers
• Compliance and Accuracy: ensure bankruptcy actions are accurate, timely and compliant
• Financial Calculations: handle proof of claim figures and affidavits
• Process Management: identify improvements and help develop policies
• Mentorship and Guidance: mentor Entry‑Level specialists to boost team efficiency
• Special Projects: lead projects related to bankruptcy processes or system enhancements
