Pennymac in Texas seeks a Senior Bankruptcy Specialist to lead complex cases, navigate federal/state rules, and mitigate risk across portfolios. You will mentor Bankruptcy Specialists, collaborate with legal counsel, and drive process improvements to strengthen operations and compliance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 5–7 years of bankruptcy or senior default servicing experience, and strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills. Office-based role with potential hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or related professional certifications preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressive bankruptcy or senior default servicing experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and investor bankruptcy rules and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with leadership and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Advise on complex bankruptcy cases, including high exposure and litigation partnerships.
• Apply data-driven methods to optimize outcomes and minimize losses.
• Develop and refine bankruptcy policies, workflows, and procedures.
• Engage with external counsel and vendors to achieve favorable resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and investor requirements and support audits.
• Provide management reporting and actionable insights to leadership.
• Mentor Bankruptcy Specialists at I, II and III levels.
