Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to the Michigan State Bar or eligibility to waive into Michigan.
• Significant experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, insolvency, and creditors' rights.
• Demonstrated success handling sophisticated commercial bankruptcy proceedings and related litigation.
• Established portable book of business with financial institutions is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Represent debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, lenders, trustees, and other stakeholders in bankruptcy, insolvency, and restructuring matters.
• Advise clients on complex reorganizations, workouts, restructurings, and distressed situations.
• Lead matters involving Chapter 11 proceedings, bankruptcy litigation, and related adversary proceedings.
• Develop and implement strategies to preserve value, mitigate risk, and achieve clients' objectives.
• Draft and oversee pleadings, motions, briefs, and advocacy materials; appear before bankruptcy courts and tribunals.
