Job summary

Hancock Whitney is seeking a flexible Analyst to perform analytical tasks around system enhancements and maintenance. You will serve as the liaison between the business unit and programming/technical teams, making recommendations for enhancements with potential revenue impact.

Banking experience is preferred. The role involves creating detailed project plans, documenting changes, and ensuring smooth communication across departments, including training documentation and compliance with BSA

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
• At least 5 years related experience.
• Knowledge of records management software, imaging systems and automated databases.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed project plans and tracking documents.
• Communicate issues to the business unit and programming/technical staff.
• Create documentation for projects and system changes.
• Coordinate with merger/acquisition teams to ensure applications are operational.
• Analyze current procedures and data requirements for inputs/outputs.
• Write detailed descriptions of user needs and program functions.
• Review system capabilities to determine feasibility of changes.
• Study information systems to improve production/workflow.
• Prepare technical reports, memoranda and manuals.
• Upgrade system and fix errors post-implementation.
• Assist programmer with flow charts and project specs.
• Prepare time and cost estimates for projects.
• Direct and coordinate work of others on projects.
• Work with Hancock University and Retail Services for training policies.
• Comply with Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations.
