Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of successful lending consultation and business development experience.
• Expert knowledge of credit products including residential mortgage products, home equity lines of credit, and securities-based loans.
• Ability to analyze cash flow and balance sheet of HNW/UHNW retail brokerage clients; understanding of estate planning techniques.
• Strong diplomacy, discretion, and professionalism; able to screen, manage, and decline transactions while maintaining relationships.
• Excellent oral and written communication; strong presentation skills.
• Strong relationship-building with Schwab teammates, HNW/UHNW clients, and partners across service, credit, risk and third-party vendors.
• Strong collaboration skills in a team environment; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong command of mortgage underwriting guidelines; formal training preferred.
• Series 7 and 63/65 licenses required; NMLS license required within 90 days.
• Undergraduate or advanced degree preferred; banking background with HNW/UHNW experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Advise Schwab Wealth Advisory clients on appropriate bank lending, deposit and trust solutions including products, pricing and deal structures.
• Partner with Schwab teammates in assigned geographies to discuss client base and identify lending, deposit and trust opportunities and action plans.
• Establish a reputation of execution and excellence; develop lending, deposit and trust opportunities with Schwab partners.
• Develop and present lending, deposit and trust solutions; consult with credit specialists as needed.
• Take ownership of banking client experience from initial contact to loan funding or account establishment, coordinating with partners and third-party providers for a smooth process.
• Work with Schwab partners and maintain effective communication across teams.
• Identify complex transaction structures and ensure proper handling across processes.
• Maintain awareness of status of applications in pipeline; act as primary liaison for Schwab Wealth Advisory banking processes.
• Address issues surfaced during loan processes and assist with underwriting requests.
