Job summary

Charles Schwab Bank is seeking a Senior Banker to partner with Schwab Wealth Advisory clients, delivering banking and credit solutions including residential mortgages, HELOCs, and securities-based lending. You will work with the Bank Sales Team, Credit, Operations, Trust and Deposit services to tailor recommendations that meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of successful lending consultation and business development experience in Financial Services or working closely with HNW/UHNW clients.
• Expert knowledge of credit products including residential mortgage products, home equity lines of credit, and securities-based loans.
• Proven ability to analyze cash flow and balance sheet of HNW/UHNW retail brokerage clients; understanding of estate planning, entity structuring, and tax strategies.
• Strong diplomacy, discretion, and professionalism; ability to screen, manage and decline transactions while maintaining relationships.
• Excellent oral and written communication; strong presentation skills.
• Strong relationship-building with Schwab teammates, HNW/UHNW clients, and cross-functional partners.
• Attention to detail; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Mortgage underwriting guidelines knowledge; formal training preferred.
• Series 7 and 63/65 licenses; NMLS license required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Advise Schwab Wealth Advisory clients on Bank lending, deposit, and trust solutions; gather information for applications.
• Partner with Schwab teammates in assigned geographies to identify lending, deposit and trust opportunities.
• Establish a reputation for execution and excellence; gain partner confidence to develop opportunities.
• Develop and present lending, deposit, and trust solutions with credit partners as needed.
• Own the banking client experience from initial contact to funding or account opening.
• Coordinate with Schwab partners and third-party providers for a smooth process.
• Identify complex transaction structures early (entity, trust, co-borrowers, etc.).
• Maintain status of banking applications and serve as liaison for involved parties.
• Address issues in loan processes and assist underwriting.
