Job summary

Citizens Trust Bank is seeking an Accounting Specialist III in Atlanta, GA to support balance sheet reconciliations, GL posting, and bank account management. The role involves preparing reconciliations, adjusting entries, and generating reports for management and auditors in a fast-paced banking environment.

Ideal candidates have at least three years of reconciliation experience, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of account reconciliation experience in a financial institution.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Hands on working knowledge of accounting principles is essential.
• Strong knowledge of financial ratio calculations, GAAP, and banking regulations is expected.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with FIS and BankTEL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts by aligning subsidiary records with the general ledger.
• Assign invoices to the general ledger and bank accounts; prepare monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare adjusting and correcting entries as required and support monthly closings.
• Prepare financial reports for management, auditors, and regulators.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasts, and regulatory reporting.
