Job summary

Laborie is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Technician to lead balloon catheter manufacturing operations in Minneapolis. You will serve as SME for equipment, manage setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensure GMP-compliant production with accurate records.

You will train technicians, support process optimization, and collaborate across engineering and operations to minimize downtime while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4-6 years cleanroom experience building balloon catheters.
• Experience with PTCA type balloon blowing and catheter manufacturing.
• Strong computer skills, experience with ERP (SAP) and MS Office required.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to multiple skill levels - operators, technicians, engineers, and management.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Technical expert/SME on all aspects of balloon catheter manufacturing.
• Setup and operate all related equipment; troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Startup and shut down manufacturing lines; ensure organized, efficient operations.
• Complete and file accurate production & maintenance quality records.
• Adhere to GMP and SOPs.
• Maintenance of related instruments (calibration, cleaning).
• Draft or execute related documentation (SOPs, equipment qualifications).
• Maintain workspace with 5S and housekeeping.
• Assist with maintenance tasks and participate in health and safety activities.
• Train other technicians, operators, or engineering staff on equipment operations and processes.
