Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is seeking a Bakery & Pastry Sous Chef to lead large-scale dessert and bread production for events and catering. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to deliver high-quality pastries with consistent flavor and presentation.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of bakery leadership, strong organizational skills, and a track record in high-volume environments, including safety and allergen controls.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional bakery and pastry experience.
• Previous pastry leadership roles preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and allergen procedures.
• Ability to lead and develop a bakery/pastry team.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily bakery and pastry production for large events, catering, buffets, and special functions.
• Provide leadership through planning and coordination with Executive Chef and Sous Chef.
• Prepare and oversee production of breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts.
• Plan production quantities based on guest counts and menus.
• Scale recipes and maintain quality, portioning, taste, and presentation.
• Supervise and train bakers and pastry cooks.
