Job summary

The Baker II at Biltmore Hotel Limited is responsible for scaling, producing, proofing and baking all bake goods for outlets and banquet events. Maintain high quality and optimal operation of the bakery while keeping it clean and organized.

Communicate openly with the Chef to ensure adherence to BSOPS and hotel standards. Minimum 1–2 years pastry experience in upscale hotels is required; a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 1–2 years baking/pastry experience in upper upscale hotels required.
• Ability to read/understand English; good communication and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the bakery team when head baker is away.
• Read, organize and execute the BEO when head baker is off-site.
• Maintain equipment, sanitation and health compliance per standards.
• Prepare menu items from recipes, manage waste and food cost.
• Ensure daily schedules are followed and communicate with pastry chef.
