Job summary

GEICO's Legal Department seeks an experienced litigator to join its Enterprise Litigation and Investigations team as Bad Faith, Claim Litigation Counsel. Hybrid role with three in-office days weekly, located in Cleveland, OH. You will counsel on bad faith, extra-contractual liability, and complex litigation, partnering with Claims Operations and business teams.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of relevant experience, JD, and bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation management experience in a law firm, government, or in-house.

Responsibilities

• Manage and drive strategy for high-profile litigation matters, including bad faith and other complex litigation.
• Collaborate with and manage outside counsel.
• Advise internal stakeholders on litigation strategy, risk management, trial preparation, extra-contractual, and bad faith matters.
• Coordinate and actively participate in internal discovery activities with Operations, Tech, and legal management.
