Job description

Cape Fox subsidiary Eagle Health, LLC is accepting resumes for a SENIOR BACTERIOLOGY TECHNICIAN to support the members at Ft. Detrick, Maryland. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position is $85,000-$95,000.

The above salary range represents the company's good faith estimate of the possible compensation at posting. We offer benefits including holidays, paid time off, health/dental/vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K with company match. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Lead/PI in Molecular Microbiological Experiments and animal protocols.
2. Complete Opsonic Adherence assays testing animal sera efficacy.
3. Perform ELISAs related to various vaccine and pathogen strategies, including retesting as needed.
4. Prepare lab reagents and media.
5. Plate LB plates for bacterial isolation.
6. Isolate and purify plasmid DNA.
7. Label and count Ames samples for ratio analysis.
8. Order lab supplies and equipment.
9. Present data and progress reports; prepare graphs and reports.
10. Conduct immunological and microbiological assays.
11. Maintain and organize data from studies.
12. Manage lab inventory and equipment.
13. Perform TNA assays, animal challenges, and bacterial challenge preparations.
14. Carry out animal injections, observations, and necropsies.
15. Process bacterial burdens, cytokine analyses, flow cytometry, and other tasks.
16. Prepare DNA and perform PCR, gel analysis, cloning, sequencing, and protein gels.
17. Order supplies, review literature, train personnel, and manage laboratory safety and inventory.
18. Assist with animal experiments under BSL-3 conditions and contribute to research publications and presentations.
19. Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and enrollments.
