Job summary

CACI International seeks an Experienced Background Investigator for the Midwest region to conduct comprehensive interviews with subjects, employers, and references, review records, and resolve key issues establishing a subject’s background and qualifications. The role requires travel to various U.S.

locations for short TDY assignments and includes a one-week virtual training program. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, strong written and oral

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of general experience demonstrating progressive responsibility in problem solving, planning and organizing work, and communicating effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable determination based on a T5 Investigation.
• Strong sense of mission in supporting national security initiatives.
• Impeccable work ethic, integrity, and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Current driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel locally.
• Home office within reasonable distance to areas workload and equipped with reliable high-speed Internet.
• Ability to sit, type, stand, or walk for extended periods.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Use technology and multiple systems to conduct comprehensive interviews with subjects, employers, and references and review records to obtain facts.
• Resolve material issues to establish the subject's background, suitability, or qualifications.
• Interviews conducted via Virtual Teleconference, phone, and in-person meetings with VTC as primary method.
• Complete a one-week intensive virtual training program.
