Job summary

CACI is seeking an Entry Level Background Investigator to support nationwide investigations. The role involves conducting interviews, reviewing records, and establishing the subject’s background and qualifications using VTC, phone, and in-person methods. Training will be multiweek and virtual with mentorship, and TDYs across the U.S.

are possible. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel locally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years’ experience demonstrating problem solving, planning, organizing work, and effective written/oral communication.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable determination based on a T5 Investigation
• Strong sense of mission in supporting national security initiatives
• Impeccable work ethic, integrity, and a positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to navigate multiple technology systems to maintain workflow
• Current driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel locally
• Home office nearby with reliable high-speed internet; $50 internet stipend provided
• Ability to sit, type, stand, or walk for extended periods
• Excellent time management and prioritization
• Exceptional written and oral communication; concise, organized reporting
• Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance based on a T5

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with subjects and stakeholders; review records to establish background, reputation, and qualifications; use VTC, phone, and in-person interviews, with VTC as primary.
• Attend a multiweek intensive virtual training with shadowing and mentorship.
• Potential travel to locations across the U.S. for temporary duty assignments (TDY), typically lasting 2 weeks
