Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Backend Systems Engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale, high-throughput backend services powering mission-critical workloads. You will architect core platforms for scalability, reliability, and performance, balancing consistency, availability, and latency.

The role emphasizes leading architectural discussions, mentoring engineers, and delivering observable, cost-efficient systems across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Six or more years of professional backend engineering experience, with significant time on distributed systems.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Go, Scala, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with high-throughput message systems such as Kafka.
• Experience operating systems at scale, including capacity planning and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement large-scale distributed backend systems.
• Architect data partitioning, replication, and consistency strategies.
• Build resilient APIs and event-driven services with observability and idempotency.
• Optimize systems for latency, throughput, and cost using profiling and load testing.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical design discussions.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and lead by example in code quality and operational rigor.
• Partner with SRE and platform teams to improve reliability and reduce toil.
• Maintain comprehensive architecture documentation and runbooks.
