Qualifications

• Six or more years of professional backend or platform engineering experience.
• Experience building and operating internal platforms used by multiple engineering teams.
• Strong distributed systems design with consistency, availability, latency, and failure‑mode considerations.
• Proficiency in at least one major backend language (Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or modern C++).
• Knowledge of high‑throughput messaging systems (Kafka, Pulsar, or NATS).
• Experience leading multi‑quarter platform initiatives and mentoring engineers.
