Job summary

Bitovi is seeking a Backend / Platform Developer Consultant to design, build, and operate durable, distributed systems in enterprise environments. You will own both code and infrastructure, focusing on JVM services, event streams, and cloud-scale platforms using Temporal, Kafka, and Kubernetes on AWS.

The role emphasizes migrations, observability, and CI/CD discipline, with a strong bias toward collaboration and rapid, validation-driven delivery.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with durable execution/workflow engines (Temporal preferred).
• Experience designing/operating Kafka-based event streams and schemas.
• Experience building GraphQL APIs with attention to performance (N+1, caching).
• Strong AWS production experience (EKS, IAM, networking, data services).
• Kubernetes expertise for production workloads.

Responsibilities

• Owns code and infrastructure across enterprise platforms.
• Shapes platform design from JVM services to cloud infrastructure.
• Leads migrations and replatforming with minimal downtime and clear governance.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure reliable, observability-driven delivery.
