Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior backend engineer to own identity systems end-to-end, designing robust authentication and RBAC/ABAC frameworks. You will operate backend services powering notifications and integrate AI tooling into workflows.

You will lead technical design, mentor peers, and collaborate with Product and Security teams to ensure scalable, secure identity systems and multi-tenant architectures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with ownership of production systems at scale.
• Expertise in identity systems and authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML).
• Experience designing multi-tenant identity models.
• Hands-on experience building/operating notification infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Ruby, Go, Python, or similar languages.
• Proven track record in leading technical design.

Requirements

• Experience designing multi-tenant identity models
• Hands-on experience building or operating notification infrastructure
• Strong command of at least one backend language (Ruby, Go, Python, or similar)
• Track record of leading technical design
• Active AI fluency using tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or LLM-based assistants
• Security-minded by default
