Job summary

Intel Corporation in Chandler, AZ (and Hillsboro, OR) seeks a Facilities Development Engineer to design and maintain back-end facilities infrastructure supporting semiconductor manufacturing. You will drive innovation, standardize capacity management, and lead What-If analyses across global sites.

Minimum 4+ years in facilities engineering with high-tech infra; Bachelor's in Engineering or related STEM; Master's preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related STEM.
• 4+ years of hands-on facilities engineering, high-tech infrastructure design, or industrial utilities development.
• Experience with industrial facility systems (chemical/gas delivery, instrumentation & controls, electrical distribution, HVAC, life safety, water treatment).
• Interpretation of mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, utility models, and cost data.
• Projects executed with high-tech building codes and EHS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Back-End Technology Innovation: develop and qualify new back-end facilities technologies for next-gen packaging tools.
• Global Process Standardization: implement and own capacity management processes across back-end facilities worldwide.
• Strategic Planning & WIF Analysis: provide leadership in What-If analyses across back-end sites.
• Engineering Experiments & Optimization: design and run experiments to evaluate, model, and optimize utility equipment and footprints.
• Specification Ownership: maintain IMDS and operations spec docs for tech transfer and startup activities.
• Efficiency & Energy Conservation: analyze utility processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Utility Expansions & System Layouts: design expansions and oversee contractor schedules.
