Job summary

Computer Services, Inc. (CSI) seeks a Software Engineer III to design, code, test, and debug scalable backend services using TypeScript, Node.js, and C++.

You will modernize legacy systems, deliver secure integrations, and mentor junior engineers within a highly integrated online banking ecosystem. The role emphasizes API design, third‑party integrations, and service-oriented architectures, with ownership of major projects and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Accredited education in technology; advanced degrees or certifications preferred.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with backend service and complex integrations.
• Strong proficiency in C++, TypeScript, Node.js and modern backend patterns.
• Experience with designing, building, testing, debugging scalable applications in production.
• Experience with financial systems, core banking platforms, or fintech integrations is preferred.
• Familiarity with API design, contracts, third‑party integrations, and system interoperability.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and rollout of large backend projects with complex integrations.
• Enforce coding standards, design secure APIs, and modernize legacy C++ systems.
• Manage projects and ensure timely delivery of integration-heavy initiatives.
• Craft technical specifications, API contracts, and modernization approaches.
• Mentor engineers in backend development, integrations, and modern architectures.
• Drive SOA, CI/CD practices, and Agile processes across teams.
