Job summary

Computer Services, Inc. (CSI) is seeking a senior frontend software engineer to lead development and rollout of large UI projects, focusing on Angular and TypeScript with modern design patterns.

The role emphasizes collaboration across full-stack teams, Agile processes, and mentoring peers while delivering high-quality, scalable frontend solutions and contributing to UI performance improvements. You will also participate in architecture discussions, risk assessments, and help drive modernization

Qualifications

• Accredited university/college/trade school education in applicable technology preferred.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with frontend service development and complex system integrations.
• Strong proficiency with Angular, TypeScript, UI architecture, and modern web development practices.
• Product/project leadership skills and full-stack collaboration are required.
• Experience with Agile, CI/CD, coding standards, and maintainable design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of development and rollout of large UI projects and front-end architecture.

• Demonstrate effective project management and timely delivery of features.

Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Take ownership of the development and rollout of entire products or large UI-focused projects, driving front-end architecture and collaborating across the full stack.
• Standards and Practices: Enforce department coding standards and best practices, with a strong emphasis on modern Angular, TypeScript, responsive design, and UI performance optimization.
• Project Management: Demonstrate effective and efficient project management skills, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, user-centric features.
• Technical Specifications: Write technical specifications with clear front-end architecture considerations and identify project and programming risks, including UI/UX and integration dependencies.
• Coaching and Mentorship: Champion processes and technologies (Agile, CI/CD, modern front-end frameworks) while coaching colleagues on UI best practices and maintainable design patterns.
• Expertise and Innovation: Showcase expertise in software engineering with a strong focus on front-end technologies while exploring and adopting emerging UI and full-stack technologies.
• Programming Knowledge: Apply knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, and related web technologies effectively, while demonstrating the ability and willingness to expand into backend development as needed.
• Thought Leadership: Provide proactive investigation, problem-solving, and thought leadership, particularly in UI architecture, modernization efforts, and cross-stack integration.
• Mentorship: Offer coaching and mentorship to less experienced Software Engineers, especially in developing scalable, maintainable front-end solutions.
• Additional Duties: Fulfill additional duties as assigned, contributing to the team’s overall effectiveness and supporting cross-functional and cross-stack initiatives.

Requirements

• Accredited university, college, or trade school education and training in applicable technology, advanced degrees, or certifications preferred.
• 7+ years of successful, relevant software engineering experience, with a strong focus on frontend service development and complex system integrations.
• Strong proficiency with Angular, TypeScript, UI architecture, and modern web development practices.
• Product/project leadership skills.
• Full-stack collaboration is critical for success in the role.
• Technical specifications and risk identification.
• Agile, methodologies.
• CI/CD experience, good knowledge of coding standards, and maintainable design patterns.
