Job summary

Xebia It Architects is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer skilled in TypeScript on AWS Serverless to design and build scalable, AI-powered backend systems. You will create RESTful APIs, implement event-driven workflows, and drive enterprise integrations using Lambda, API Gateway, and related services.

The role requires hands-on AI-assisted coding, experience with NoSQL like DynamoDB, and collaboration across product, architecture, and data teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience required.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript on AWS Serverless and REST APIs.
• Experience with AI platforms (Claude, AWS Bedrock, LangGraph) and AI-assisted coding.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using TypeScript on AWS Serverless.
• Build and manage RESTful APIs and event-driven workflows across enterprise systems.
• Architect distributed systems with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, and related services.
• Develop Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services in TypeScript.
• Build AI-enabled applications leveraging Claude, AWS Bedrock, LangGraph.
• Design AI workflows, agents, RAG, and enterprise AI integrations.
• Work with DynamoDB and Snowflake for analytics; implement caching strategies.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Frontend, and Data Engineering.
• Drive engineering excellence via code reviews, CI/CD, and cloud-security best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning and standups.
