Job summary

Xebia is seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer to join a project for an international insurance-tech client. You will shape AI-native underwriting, lead AI-assisted development, and build scalable, secure backend services in Python.

You’ll work with React/TypeScript frontends, define engineering standards, and mentor peers while delivering production-grade software from MVP to a robust platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core backend services using Python.
• Contribute to architecture and technical direction of AI-native platform.
• Act as technical lead for AI-assisted software development.
• Build scalable, secure, observable, production-ready software solutions.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers on React/TypeScript integrations.
• Define and promote engineering standards, workflows, and quality practices.
• Leverage AI coding assistants to improve velocity and code quality.
• Contribute to system architecture, design, and platform evolution.
• Build internal tooling to boost developer productivity.
• Support technical decisions while staying hands-on in development.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders iteratively.
