Job summary

Quevera is seeking a Backend Software Developer in Annapolis Junction, MD with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. You will develop, test, and support software solutions in an Agile setting using Java, C++, or Python, AWS, and relational databases.

The role requires 14+ years of Software Engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Telework up to 16 hours/week is available depending on sprint tasks and program needs.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
• 14+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with AWS, Git, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience with Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and SQL.
• Experience in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Develop data queries for databases and data repositories.
• Design or implement database interfaces and queries.
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet system standards.
• Support development and execution of test procedures for components.
• Ensure quality control of developed software.
• Write, review, and maintain software and technical documentation.
• Recommend and implement improvements to documentation and processes.
• Modify existing software to improve performance or adapt to new hardware.
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance, data usage, and workflows.
• Collaborate with system/hardware engineers to derive software requirements.
