Job summary

Horizon3.ai is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer on the Security Controls team to shape the telemetry and detection capabilities of NodeZero's EDR integration. You will own the backend that surfaces evidence of attacks, tuning, and future AI/ML-driven improvements across platforms and tenants.

You’ll build ETL pipelines, GraphQL APIs, collaborate with frontend, and mentor teammates. Remote-first with optional Chicago office; some travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field.
• 7+ years professional software engineering experience with modern OO/functional languages.
• Experience building apps on AWS/Azure/GCP with Docker & Kubernetes.
• Expert proficiency in SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop core product features in ETL and GraphQL to support data processing and retrieval.
• Design and implement backend APIs in GraphQL for data interactions between components.
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines for efficient data processing and analytics.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to present data in a clear, user-friendly format.
