Flex is a growth-stage FinTech company headquartered in NYC, focused on reinventing the rent payment experience. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design, build, and scale the services behind Payment, Billing, Identity, and partner integrations to ensure rent moves on time.

You will own APIs end-to-end, collaborate with product, design, and engineering peers, and iterate through small, frequent releases to keep renters on track while improving reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience building robust, fault-tolerant systems.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale the services behind Payment, Billing, Identity, and partner integrations.
• Lead scoping, design, and implementation for the APIs you own.
• Drive production rollouts to completion with minimal oversight.
