Job summary

Flex is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and scale backend systems powering our payments, billing, identity, and partner integrations. You will design, implement, test, and roll out services with a focus on reliability and performance.

Join a globally distributed team and drive API scoping, design, and production deployments with minimal supervision, working in a hybrid environment in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• 6+ years software engineering experience
• 4+ years Java experience
• Love delivering robust, scalable backend services
• Able to work with stakeholders and drive scope/delivery
• Experience with SOA, REST, messaging queues and scalable architectures
• Experience with AWS services and containerization tools

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and scale backend services for payments, billing, identity, and integrations
• Own API scoping, design and production rollouts with minimal oversight
• Collaborate with product/design/engineering to ship reliable features in iterative sprints
