Encord is building a high‑performance data platform for AI, with Foundations as the backend core. You will design and ship end‑to‑end data systems powering multimodal data processing at scale.

Collaborate across disciplines and help shape Encord's platform as it scales to robotics and video analytics.

Qualifications

• Fluency in a high‑level language (Python/Typescript) and a statically typed language (Rust/Java/C++/Go).
• Solid grounding in distributed systems concepts (databases, replication, queues, caching) and how they behave under load.
• Deep CS fundamentals, data structures and algorithms.
• Experience owning services in production with monitoring, testing, rollout and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Own significant data systems projects end‑to‑end: design, architecture, deployment, monitoring and impact measurement.
• Build distributed systems that stay fast and correct under load and reason about failure modes.
• Shape performant protocols and APIs that customers build on top of.
• Find simple solutions to complex domains at scale and know when boring tech wins.
• Raise the bar through code reviews, pairing and sharing knowledge.
