Job summary

Databricks is seeking a backend-focused software engineer to design, implement, test, and operate micro-services for the Databricks platform. You will collaborate with product management to deliver scalable data and AI infrastructure that supports customers in solving complex problems.

You will write software in Scala/Java, build data pipelines with Apache Spark and Kafka, and integrate with cloud APIs (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of production experience in Java, Scala, C++, or similar language.
• Experience architecting, developing, deploying, and operating large scale distributed systems.
• Experience with SaaS platforms or Service-Oriented Architectures.
• Good knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Docker/Kubernetes.
