Job summary

Databricks is hiring across multiple AI Engineering teams to build the infrastructure powering data apps, AI agents, model training, and vector search. You’ll join a high-ambition team shaping how developers and data scientists interact with AI on Databricks.

In this role you’ll collaborate across platform, infra, and ML teams to improve reliability, latency, and scale of distributed workloads, and help deliver end-to-end experiences with scalable APIs and cloud-native infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Proficient in Scala, Go, or Python.
• Experience with distributed systems, scalable APIs, or cloud-native infra.
• Familiar with SOA, deployment pipelines, and observability.
• Strong product and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build infrastructure that powers our flagship offerings like MLflow, AI Gateway, Databricks Apps, Agent Framework, Agent Bricks, and Foundation Model APIs, to state a few.
• Improve reliability, latency, and efficiency of distributed AI workloads
• Collaborate with platform, infra, and ML teams to deliver seamless end-to-end experiences
• Shape how developers and data scientists build and interact with AI on Databricks
