Ridgeline is seeking an experienced software engineer to help design and build the next generation of a distributed reporting and query platform. You will own backend systems powering reporting, queries, and data-driven workflows across a financial ecosystem.

You will influence architecture, mentor peers, and collaborate with product teams to deliver high-performance, reliable solutions. You'll work on cloud-native services (AWS) with a focus on correctness, scalability, and observability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering in backend or distributed systems.
• Proficient in Kotlin, Java, or Python.
• Experience with AWS and scalable cloud-native services.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services for reporting and data workflows.
• Drive architecture across distributed systems and APIs.
• Lead technical initiatives for platform scalability, performance, reliability.
• Build systems that handle compute- and IO-intensive workloads with strong correctness.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver reliable customer-facing capabilities.
