United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Source Code Experience team. You will build backend capabilities and interfaces that support trustworthy collaboration between people and AI agents across multiple company projects.

You will work with Ruby and GraphQL to improve core source code experiences, maintain reliability, and contribute to performance tuning, testing, observability, and on-call incident resolution in a remote, asynchronous environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Ruby and GraphQL backend development.
• Experience building backend services/APIs at scale.
• Strong testing (unit/integration/acceptance) and CI/CD practices.
• Clear written and spoken English; collaborative, remote work ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, well-tested backend features using Ruby and GraphQL.
• Design and maintain backend services, data models, and APIs for reliable source code workflows.
• Collaborate across teams and manage priorities in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Review code and AI-generated outputs to ensure quality and safety.
• Monitor production health, perform on-call duties, and improve observability.
