Job summary

AlphaSights is expanding its Engineering team with a senior software engineer position. The role focuses on end-to-end ownership of services, mentoring juniors, and aligning work with AlphaSights’ broader engineering strategy.

You’ll collaborate with product managers and designers to build scalable solutions for internal and external customers. We primarily use React on the frontend, Kotlin microservices with Postgres on the backend, and some Ruby on Rails.

Qualifications

• Degree in a STEM field or equivalent track
• Proven track record in senior software roles
• Experience with scalable systems and product impact

Responsibilities

• Design solutions to scale a leading research platform
• Ship working code with React on frontend and Kotlin on backend
• Deploy frequently using CI/CD and gather user feedback
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering strategy
• Monitor services, diagnose issues, and implement fixes
