Job summary

AlphaSights in London is seeking highly talented software engineers to join a cross-functional team with product managers and designers, delivering code that solves real problems for internal and external customers.

You will own the challenges your team tackles, ensure high-quality releases, and work with an international development team using React on the frontend, Kotlin microservices on the backend, and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• Degree in a STEM subject or equivalent.
• Experience in a mature Engineering team at a similar level.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Kotlin/Ruby) and relational databases preferred.
• Demonstrated impact in previous roles.
• Highly driven, proactive and meticulous.

Responsibilities

• Design solutions and contribute to an architectural vision that scales the platform.
• Ship working code using React on the frontend and Kotlin microservices with PostgreSQL on the backend; Ruby on Rails as needed.
• Deploy and iterate with CI/CD pipelines and gather feedback for next iterations.
• Build competency through fast-paced development and LD budget allocations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot services, diagnosing root causes and deploying fixes.
