Job summary

Xplor Technologies is seeking a backend platform software engineer to design and ship multi-tenant SaaS services. You will collaborate with a distributed team and contribute across the stack, focusing on reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

You'll write Python and Django code, work with Ember and PostgreSQL, and embrace AI-assisted development. The role is fully remote in the United States, with overlap across time zones and a strong culture of ownership and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Remote collaboration in a distributed environment.
• Python and Django (REST APIs, models, migrations).
• PostgreSQL and comfort writing / reasoning about SQL.
• Git / GitHub and PR-based delivery.
• Use of Docker for local development.
• Writing and maintaining robust tests.
• Willingness to utilize AI in day-to-day work.
• AWS basics (S3, RDS, containers).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teammates and other functions in a geographically distributed remote environment.
• Hands-on development with Python, Django, Ember and PostgreSQL.
• Creating well-designed, testable, efficient systems following company processes and industry best practices.
• Leading technical design initiatives and efforts.
• Troubleshooting and resolving software defects; using PRs as a path to teach and learn.
• Shared ownership for team dynamics, processes and growth.
