Job summary

Horizon3 is a 100% remote cybersecurity company redefining how pentest data is processed in real time. We are building a ground-up streaming architecture to replace batch workflows and deliver insights faster at scale.

As a Senior Engineer, you will own critical pieces of the rework end-to-end, collaborating with platform teams while maintaining high availability and strong operational discipline for enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering or similar role.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Go with large-scale codebases.
• Production experience with PostgreSQL—schema design, migrations, and query performance.
• Experience building and operating services in AWS with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on observability tooling experience (Datadog or OpenTelemetry).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate event-driven services that process pentest data in real time.
• Tackle ambiguous, high-impact problems from design to rollout and operation.
• Help solve challenges turning large per-pentest data into a cohesive story over time.
• Translate batch-era logic into streaming designs without losing fidelity.
• Solve distributed systems problems at scale and break monoliths into services.
• Set a high bar for operational excellence with SLOs, instrumentation, alerting, on-call, and incident response.
• Interface with other platform teams and ensure clear API contracts.
