Job summary

Concept Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a team building, modernizing, and sustaining mission-critical applications for a Department of War customer. You will develop, enhance, and maintain high-volume, public-facing applications with secure cloud operations and ongoing modernization efforts.

The role emphasizes backend development in Node.js or Go, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and hands-on production support.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience, including production experience with Node.js or Go.
• Strong experience building and maintaining REST APIs.
• Hands-on SQL and PostgreSQL experience.
• Experience operating production apps in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with formal change control and privileged-access security requirements.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues and support releases.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and enhance high-volume, public-facing web applications with security patches and controlled releases.
• Develop and maintain backend services in Node.js and Go; support React/TypeScript front-ends and PostgreSQL.
• Support containerized deployments in cloud environments and integrate with identity providers.
• Maintain runbooks and documentation; participate in on-call rotations for production availability.
• Identify and remediate security findings and keep dependencies current.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
