Job summary

Concept Solutions, LLC (CS) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a team responsible for building, modernizing, and sustaining mission-critical applications for a Department of War (DoW) customer. You will develop, enhance, and maintain high-volume, public-facing applications while supporting secure cloud operations and application modernization.

The ideal candidate brings strong backend engineering expertise in Node.js or Go, production experience, and a commitment to delivering

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend software engineering, including 3+ years with Node.js or Go.
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs with SQL/PostgreSQL.
• Experience in production environments in cloud, with change control and privileged-access security.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and enhance high-volume, public-facing web applications, applying security patches and releasing under formal change control.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Go, with React/TypeScript front-end apps and PostgreSQL databases.
• Support containerized deployments in cloud environments.
• Integrate applications with identity providers and shared platform services for secure functionality.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and sustainment procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support production availability and incident resolution.
• Identify and remediate security findings and keep dependencies up to date.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
