Job summary

DTEX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focused on Python, Django, React, and databases like PostgreSQL and OpenSearch. You will lead projects from concept to release, balancing server-side functionality with a polished frontend experience.

You will work in a hybrid or remote environment in the United States, collaborate with product and engineering teams, design scalable features, and ensure security and reliability across cloud and on-prem deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Python and/or Django.
• Proven experience in backend development, with a portfolio of projects demonstrating your skills and creativity.
• Strong understanding of the development cycle and programming techniques.
• Proficient in backend development using Python and Django with a solid understanding of GraphQL/REST APIs and web application concepts.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch at large scale is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of web application features within a full stack web application using Python, Django, React, Postgres, and OpenSearch.
• Build and operate containerized services in a cluster environment, supporting deployments across cloud and on-premises infrastructures.
• Architect and implement scalable features such as Access Control and Authorization layers, data export and reporting capabilities, and enterprise integrations.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate user stories into scalable solutions.
• Leverage AI-assisted code editors and tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Ensure security, performance, and reliability of applications and deployments.
