Valon is hiring a Senior Software Backend Engineer for a remote or hybrid role in the United States. The position requires 7-10+ years of software engineering experience, backend expertise, and fluency with Python, React, Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform.

The candidate will design scalable infrastructure to meet regulatory needs, collaborate with Product and Design, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Experience at a well known, high growth tech startup.
• Backend expertise; frontend engineers will be denied.
• 7-10+ years of software engineering with Python, React, Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP.
• Must live in the United States.
• Resume shows promotions/career progression.
• Strong communicator, able to work cross-functionally.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn new concepts and technologies quickly and apply them to challenging problems.
• Design and build robust and extensible infrastructure to handle evolving and complex regulations.
• Dive deep to understand the inner workings of a highly complex industry.
• Work with Product and Design to define the best experience for our customers.
