Job summary

HHAeXchange seeks a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to back-end services, APIs, and platform integrations for a caregiver ecosystem. You will help design scalable, secure, and compliant healthcare software while mentoring junior engineers and driving cloud-native modernization.

Ideal candidates have strong C#/.NET and Python skills, hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and relational/noSQL databases, and a passion for high-performance systems in a fully remote US-based role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent significant industry experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend development.
• Experience designing and delivering large-scale, highly available backend services.
• 2+ years in healthcare domain with privacy and regulatory compliance understanding.
• Proficiency with AWS and microservices/serverless architectures.
• Strong skills in C#/.NET and Python, with production-grade API/services.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services, APIs, and integrations for caregiver platform.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, reliable backend solutions.
• Participate in architecture reviews to ensure security and quality.
• Collaborate with product, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement preventative improvements.
• Support platform modernization with cloud-native patterns and automation.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
