Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Lead Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale, high-throughput backend services powering mission-critical workloads. You will architect core platforms used by other engineering teams, focusing on scalability, reliability, performance, and clean engineering practices.

The ideal candidate will combine strong CS fundamentals with distributed systems experience and will mentor teammates while communicating effectively across groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of professional backend engineering, with distributed systems focus.
• Proficient in Java, Go, or Scala.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, including consensus, replication, CAP trade-offs.
• Experience with Kafka and high-throughput messaging systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and NoSQL data stores.
• Excellent debugging, documentation, and mentorship skills.
