Job summary

Plentific is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for a fully remote role across European countries. You will work with cross-functional teams to build and operate services powering repairs, quoting, invoicing, payments, and contractor search.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Python and Django, with strong object-oriented design and software engineering fundamentals.
• Strong command of API design, service-oriented architecture, distributed systems, and asynchronous processing.
• Expert-level relational data modelling, including ERDs and PostgreSQL schemas.
• Experience turning product requirements into implementation-ready designs for backend changes.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain APIs, microservices, and data pipelines using Python, Django, DRF, FastAPI, and related tooling.
• Design service boundaries, API contracts and relational models for complex operations.
• Develop asynchronous and event-driven workflows with Celery and Redis.
• Write tests and integrate CI/CD to ensure release quality and observability.
