You will own features end to end, mentor engineers, and drive architectural decisions across services, while contributing to telephony integrations and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, backend focused.
• Proficiency in at least one OO language; Kotlin willingness to ramp.
• Ownership of features end to end and mentoring of peers.
• Experience building/rest APIs with RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Experience with Docker and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Strong testing practices and test‑driven development.
• AI fluency and daily use of AI tools in engineering work.
• Occasional frontend adjustments with React/TypeScript.
• Ability to work remotely/hybrid in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services following domain‑driven design.
• Develop GraphQL queries and mutations for client‑server communication.
• Contribute to React frontend components and features as needed.
• Create modular, testable code with domain‑driven design principles.
• Implement logging, metrics, tracing, and observability patterns.
• Lead code reviews and mentor teammates to raise quality.
• Integrate telephony providers (Twilio/Telnyx) for voice flows.
• Deploy containerized apps to Google Cloud Platform per best practices.
• Document decisions and API contracts for teams.
• Write tests across backend and frontend stacks.
