fab2 is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to build core systems powering our fab product. You will architect backend systems, design data models (recipes, runs, tools, wafers, jobs), and bridge central web apps with manufacturing hardware.

Real-time control and reliable operations are the goals. You will lead architecture and implementation of high-performance APIs, ensuring observability and performance while shaping the long-term system design for yield optimization within a

Qualifications

Backend systems engineering experience with Go, Rust, or gRPC.
Experience delivering complex production systems end to end.
Strong fundamentals in concurrency, networking, and databases.
Ability to own systems under real-world constraints including failure recovery and on-call support.
Proven leadership with clear communication and follow-through.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and development of high-performance backend APIs (Go, Rust, gRPC).
Break down manufacturing challenges into actionable data models and plans.
Integrate web applications with hardware and embedded systems for real-time operations.
Ensure reliability, observability, and performance of critical systems with timelines.
Drive long-term system architecture to support evolving fab processes.
