Base pay range

$140,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr

RepVue then aggregates the data and delivers it back to users in a highly consumable, visually appealing way. We’re the next generation rating platform for sales organizations and the world’s largest sales career influencer platform.

Our proprietary dataset is the foundation for everything we do and build at RepVue, including our user facing website and two commercial products. One is a data subscription product where researchers and investors subscribe to the proprietary dataset to add value to their research process and access our AI Analyst reports. The second is a recruiter co-pilot product which matches sales professionals with ‘best-fit’ jobs, engages those candidates, and drives them into our customers’ hiring funnels.

What we're looking for

RepVue is seeking a well-rounded, product-focused Rails engineer to lead the backend and API development of our platform. Our stack is Rails/React/NextJS/Postgres/Heroku. We are a small, remote team that values communication and feedback (we use Slack).

Your work at RepVue

• Lead the design, implementation and maintenance of RepVue’s backend architecture, working and coordinating with the rest of engineering as necessary
• Use best practices and standards to write well-tested, maintainable code
• Build a documented API for our React frontends (we use OpenAPI and Swagger)
• Collaborate on Github pull requests with other members of the engineering team
• Break out the SQL if Active Record is insufficient for some of our reporting
• Build AI integrations that leverage RepVue’s data for our users and customers
• Use AI tools as a teammate for scaffolding code, writing tests, debugging, and exploring ideas faster
  
  

Qualifications

• 8 or more years professional experience as a backend engineer
• At least 4 years experience with Rails and automated testing (we use RSpec)
• Hands-on exposure to large language model APIs (e.g., OpenAI) and prompt-driven workflows
• Experience building REST APIs, Rails caching strategies, and performance best practices
• Experience with CI/CD tools (we use CircleCI)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and an interest in leveraging AI for automation and analysis
• Experience working on a small distributed team and owning your work
