Our technology is central to how we serve clients and empower our internal teams, and we’re looking for a senior engineering leader—strongly versed in Ruby on Rails—to help shape the future of our technical operations.

We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer with deep Ruby on Rails expertise to take long-term ownership of our internal software systems. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining, evolving, and scaling the technology that drives our core business. You will lead a team of engineers, drive architecture and code quality, and ensure that our systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with company goals.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Architect, develop, and maintain secure, high-performance applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Provide technical leadership across the engineering function, including architecture, security, and system reliability.
• Lead a team of engineers, offering mentorship, code reviews, and guidance on best practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, compliance, and leadership teams to continuously improve business workflows through technology.
• Oversee the full development lifecycle: planning, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Ensure all systems are compliant with HIPAA and other applicable data protection and industry standards.
• Maintain and optimize existing systems while planning for future scalability and performance improvements.
• Establish internal documentation standards and ensure technical knowledge is retained and shared across the team.

Qualifications:

• 14+ years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years in a senior or lead engineering role.
• 5+ years of hands-on Ruby on Rails development, with a track record of architecting and scaling Rails applications.
• Strong understanding of backend and frontend technologies (e.g., React, Django, Vue.js, Node.js).
• Proven experience leading high-impact projects and managing engineering teams.
• Demonstrated knowledge of secure systems design and experience working with protected data (e.g., in healthcare, legal, or financial tech).
• Proficiency in cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent communicator with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• A proactive mindset and ability to align engineering efforts with long-term business strategy.
