Job summary

GRVTY seeks a Junior Software Engineer to help build backend services, data workflows, and system interfaces in a multi-team Agile program. You will work with senior engineers to implement, test, and maintain mission-critical components using Python and containerized cloud tooling.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines while applying DevSecOps practices. The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and delivering reliable software in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Active or current Top-Secret (TS) security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience developing backend applications or scripts.
• Strong Python foundation and Bash scripting for automation.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis or in-memory caching.
• Experience with Dockerfiles, Kubernetes basics, and containerized services.
• Experience using Git and running automated tests within CI/CD workflows.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services, scripts, and endpoints in Python.
• Implement data connectors, API endpoints, and messaging interfaces.
• Write unit and integration tests to improve coverage.
• Investigate and fix defects under guidance from seniors.
• Package code in Docker containers and deploy to Kubernetes test clusters using Helm and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and apply peer feedback.
